Dec 11, 2012 - number of specific design features on small caliber pistols. Deutsche Werke guns are plainly marked and will bear the designation “Ortgies'. Need help identifying a pistol. The serial number says '1467xx' over 'Germany' in front of the trigger guard. The Ortgies was a finely finished pistol. The Ortgies was manufactured in Erfurt, Germany by Deutsche Werke. This semi-automatic has wooden grips. The 6.35 was manufactured in 1921. Serial number 6676.
