I have a Mac OS X 10.6.2 Server that only picked up Security Update 2010-002 with a post date of 03/29/10. This security update and the 10.6.3 update were both posted on the 29th. I decided to wait overnight to see if I would have the 10.6.3 update this morning, but nothing. I updated the server to 10.6.3 this morning (not using SUS, of course) and after the reboot SUS did another synchronization. I got another Security Update 2010-002 (one is for the client, the other for the server) but still no 10.6.3 update.

Are there others experiencing the same issue? (Will Apple ever fix SUS to make it easier to use and more reliable? As of 14:07 PST I am seeing various updates downloading onto the SUS which I manually updated to 10.6.3 also. I am wondering about to updates that have the '!'

Exclamation mark next to them. QuickTime Player 7 and Rosetta both from 29 March 2010. I clicked the 'Copy Now' button but I cannot tell if anything is actually happening.

Is there anything in the logs that I should be able to read that would tell me what the encode download numbers mean ( ie. Based on the sizes, the downloads are complete but they are not showing up in the SUS list or on the clients. I removed the folders and am going to sync again and see what happens, since the data is 'missing' or 'malformed.' It is pulling everything down now. Let's see what happens.

Wouldn't ya know it?!?! I was excited to see that we now have 3 different versions of Safari to enable (rather than that godawful 'Choose Version' thing that only lets you choose ONE!), then bummed to see that 10.6.3 Server SUS wasn't even aware of 'itself'. I reckon by about 10.8.5 we'll again have a SUS to be proud of! Dang, I thought we were close to it working properly again!

Just noticed iTunes 9.1 and QuickTime 7.6.6 are missing from the 3/30 round of updates. Message was edited by: Fred Turner.
